Max's First Bite

Yesterday 5/24/11, we gave Max his first solid, avocado and he LOVED it. We were amazed, he new exactly what to do. He opened his mouth, swallowed and wanted more. We took some video but won't be able to post it until we go to town. Too big of a file for the bush computers. Here are some pictures instead. Yum Yum! Next up bananas.

First Boat Ride

May 21, 2011 was Max's first boat ride. We all left the landing, headed to the lodge at 3pm. He was very alert for the first 10 minutes, then he fell asleep (yes, his carseat is strapped to the cooler, only in AK). It was super windy, causing rough waters, but he slept thru the whole first part. We stopped at Lake Creek to visit Walter, Scott, Scott and Dee. They all loved him!! He stayed awake for most of the 2nd part of the journey and fell asleep right when we pulled up to the lodge. We were a little bit late getting him to sleep (8:30pm), but it must of been a great day, cause he actually slept thru the night and only woke up for an 11pm feeding and another feeding at 5:30am. He slept for 6.5 hours straight, the most ever!!!! FINALLY!!! Overall a great day, so glad to be back in Alaska!

North to Alaska 2011

Our first trip north to Alaska as a family. Began on 5/10 and will probably end on 5/16/2011. Long trip, only averaged about 400-500 miles a day. Baby had to stop every 2-3 hours. Max's first time out of the country and he was a trooper!!!
