Mushroom Picking

Hi everyone!! Haven't been very good at updating my blog. I promise to work harder at it. Yesterday we had an awesome morning!! Woke up early and the staff went morel mushroom picking. The morels are just starting to grow. What a blast that was!! We spent about 2 hours tromping thru the forest looking for mushrooms, then we cooked them up for dinner.

My Birthday at Cirque Du Soleil

Tonight was my birthday. It was wonderful! Spent the morning having breakfast with Mom (Dave cooked). Then we had dinner at Xtapa with Dave's parents (always my favorite). Then Dave and I spent the evening at Cirque Du Soleil. It was amazing!!! Truly magnificent. This is NOT a children's circus. Finally a circus for adults. It's great. We weren't able to take cameras into the tents, but I took some pictures off of the internet. Dave was actually picked out of the audience for an act. It was so funny. Some of the clowns (not normal circus clowns), tried to stuff him into a coffin. I about died laughing!!!

Iditarod Weekend at McDougall Lodge

Sorry it took so long for me to post some pictures of last weekends Iditarod. I was so busy that day, I didn't have time to take any of my own pictures. I've been waiting for our friends to send me copies of what they took. Finally got some tonight. We had 75 guests and our event was a HUGE hit!!!

Steelhead Fishing Feb. 13, 2008

Dave and I went to Forks, WA this week to steelhead fish. Yesterday was my lucky day. I caught this beautiful 19 lb native buck. This fish had a 21'' girth and 38" length. It was a beauty!!!

Costa Rica

Dave and I spent 10 lovely days in Costa Rica. We managed to get in a lot of relaxation, some fishing and exploring with friends. 2 of our friends (Bret and Paul) were also vacationing in Costa Rica, so we met up with them for a few days. Paul has some pictures that I don't and I'll be posting them sometime this week. Dave caught a 300 lb Marlin, we each caught a Sailfish. We also caught some Dorado's, and Dave caught a Rooster. We spent 6 nights at the beach and 4 nights in the rainforest (by the volcanoe). It was truly amazing.......
