Crafts

Even though I'll be cooking at the lodge this summer, I'm going to have a lot more time on my hands than I've previously encountered. Looking forward to having time to fish and enjoy the outdoors again. Mom's been teaching me how to create a "rag rug". Going to make a few for the cabins and maybe some baby gifts too. I've never been the crafty type, but caught on quite quickly to this. Having a lot of fun too!

Beach

We took our friend Robert to the coast last week. He hasn't seen the beach sense he was a kid (he lives in Idaho). It was 65' and sunny. Really beautiful with hardly any wind. Amazing!!

CANDY

Yesterday while the snow storm hit, I spent the day making candy with my mom (at her house). I made a batch of fudge, penuche, divinity, rocky road fudge, chocolate covered cherries and peanut butter balls. It was alot of fun, and alot of snow too!

Hi everyone!! Haven't been very good at updating my blog. I promise to work harder at it. Yesterday we had an awesome morning!! Woke up early and the staff went morel mushroom picking. The morels are just starting to grow. What a blast that was!! We spent about 2 hours tromping thru the forest looking for mushrooms, then we cooked them up for dinner.

My Birthday at Cirque Du Soleil

Tonight was my birthday. It was wonderful! Spent the morning having breakfast with Mom (Dave cooked). Then we had dinner at Xtapa with Dave's parents (always my favorite). Then Dave and I spent the evening at Cirque Du Soleil. It was amazing!!! Truly magnificent. This is NOT a children's circus. Finally a circus for adults. It's great. We weren't able to take cameras into the tents, but I took some pictures off of the internet. Dave was actually picked out of the audience for an act. It was so funny. Some of the clowns (not normal circus clowns), tried to stuff him into a coffin. I about died laughing!!!
